1 beaten egg
1 cup milk
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. sugar
1-1/4 cups flour
2 Tbsp. melted shortening, or oil
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation
Sift dry ingredients together in a bowl.
Combine egg, milk and shortening together. Beat a little to mix.
Make a well in the dry ingredients and add milk, shortening and milk, stirring just until flour is moistened. Batter will be lumpy. Bake on greased griddle, at 375-400 F. Turn when top is bubbly. |
